2007 Cobalt dome light inop.  Checked all fuses at the fuse box under the hood.  Unable to find any fuses blown,  can anyone tell me which fuse powers the dome light?  No power at dome light, checked for power and ground.

Thanks
David DeLeon

Have you checked for codes with an OBDII reader to verify that you have no "B" coded DTCs?  The service manual doesn't have you check fuses since the power is supplied by the Body Control Module.  Since you already checked for power to the dome light itself you've covered that area (just make sure of the 3 -way switch position too).  When you state you have no power do you mean no power at the bulb connections or no power to the switch itself?  Run a power source through a test lamp (bulb removed) and check the ground side of the bulb recepticle -- make sure it's the gound side -- check with an ohmeter first to get the right one by opening and closing the door as you check the recepticle with the ohmeter.  If you have power to the switch but no power at the bulb the service manual says to replace the dome lamp assy -- to replace the assy the service manual shows that you have to remove the headliner (page 4-182).

Does the Cobalt have a dome light override button near the light control or dash dimmer switch?  Could you have bumped it?

The dome light itself has a three-way switch: Automatic with doors, On always, and Off always.  Wiring schematics show no additional switches.

Hope I found what your problem is:

There is a 10 amp fuse on the Body Control Module (BCM) itself for the interior lights printed circuit board (PCB). The fuse # is 27.  This fuse is not listed in the diagnostics nor the wiring schematics -- i just happened to come across it trying to diagnose a oil pressure switch.
