ok, here it goes

first post on here

my wife drives the above mentioned tahoe. we have also used it in the past to tow our toyhauler, until my wife bought me a duramax on our last anniversary

about 6 months ago, the rpms would fluctuate while in park, or at a stop. they would dip down to 250 rpms, and one time with me, it just stalled.

took it to the stealership, and they said it was the throttlebody. It needed to be cleaned, and they had a reflash for the pcm.

about 3 weeks after that, the fuel pump went out. we had it replaced to the tune of 900 bucks (totally different thread)

now, there is a noise coming from the gas tank while accelerating, and just letting your foot off the gas. I think it is the new fuel pump. the sound is very similiar to tires rubbing (i checked, they arent. and they are stock size too.)

anyone have a clue as to what this could be??

Hmm thats weird. Never head a noise like that. All the GM pumps I've have heard make a whining type noise. Some louder than others.

You sure it's coming from the gas tank and not maybe something else. Put it in park/neutral and see if it makes the same sound.

it does not do it while in park.....so coud it be the transmission? maybe still the fuel pump, due to the fuel sloshing around in the tank?
