I have a 2001 Chevy Cavalier Z24 thats given me hell since I purchased it almost 4 years ago.

-New tranny
-New Clutch
-New fuel filter
-AC compressor currently needing replaced
-New pin just above the tranny in the shifting links.
-And now whatever is causing it to not start.

The other day I changed the oil in it. Since then, Ive driven it about 50 miles. It worked fine right up untill it died. I was stopped behind a bus and when I took off, I got to about 40 mph and then the engine just shut off. I tried to re-start it and it worked. . . for about a second and it died again. I checked the oil, since I had replaced it the day before. Low. So I went to the store and got more oil and put it in. Tried cranking it again. Same thing. Turns over, starts, runs for about 45 seconds and dies again. I eventually got it pulled home, replaced the fuel filter today, and still doing the same thing. Except now, it doesnt actually start. It just turns over, and ALMOST starts, then dies.

Any ideas on what this might be?

Could it perhaps be that I may have over tightened the oil filter?
