So tommorrow i am going to look at a 93 tahoe. They say it has a V6 vortec in it. Is this a bad year? I have heard good and bad things about vortecs, but have always wanted one. Thanks

The Tahoe that we discuss in this forum are generally the 1995 and up full-size model that is derived from the K5 Blazer all of which have V8 engines.   I am wondering if the 1993 model that you are considering is the “Tahoe” package that was available on the S10 Blazer? If, so then the 4.3 Vortec is a fine motor and there is no reason for you not to purchase the vehicle provided that price and condition meet your satisfaction, but as with any automobile that age expect to have some repair bills.
