Hello I am from the Cariboo up in British Columbia.  Anybody else from that area on this site?  I live about 20 minutes north east of 100 mile house out on forest service road.  I have been 4x4ing since I was little.  My dad raced a 1969 bronco but retired from that in the 1970s.  I initially found this site because I was researching a problem.  So I thought I would join up since other sites I have joined up you are not Chevy specific.  Anyways my Daily Drivers are a 2003 3/4 ton Silverado Crew Cab LT 4x4, with a 6.6 Duramax, 5 spd. Alison, and 3:73 gears.  My wife and I also have a commuter car which is a 2000 Pontiac Sunfire, 2.4 liter, with fake hood scoops and a 5 spd.  That little car sure has snort!  I call it my little race car.  And my main hobby is wrenching and fabricating.  I have Bush beater that I use to get to those remote fishing lakes that my Silverado cannot access.  It's a 1981 Jimmy, with a 4" suspension lift, 38" TSL Super Swampers, Custom bumpers and cage by Me, and Beard Super Series Suspension Seats. I also put 3/4 ton running gear 4:10 gears underneath.  The body flexes really good because of all the rust.  But it's very reliable

Just lately I put a piece of 2 inch square by 1/4" box tubing in my front receiver which I cut and welded in an upright position, about 60 degrees.  I first put my winch in the front receiver. My winch is actually on a saddle which goes in my front receiver. So this piece of box tubing went in the receiver of the saddle so now I have a crane to lift up stumps 'n such. Not to rip out stumps though.  I'm building a stump puller out of a 45 gallon barrel!

Anyways that's it for now I have a technical problem that I would like to post.

My bush truck, 1981 Jimmy

Our daily commuter...

Our camper carrier and tailer puller! Up on ramps right now. I'm going to check for loose parts etc. I noticed some reddish brown oil dripping in snow yesterday. I'll look for that source today. I'm taking my truck to the Chevy dealer on Tuesday to re-check the source of the vibration and howling...

Crane for lifting heavy stuff.... I made it for lifting stumps into my trailer rather burn them on the property. I guess they may even be ground up for composting like they do in Chilliwack. I don't know if they do that in 100 Mile.  Once I saw the wood dump on fire but the locals were not sure if it was illegally lit.  Less polution that way. My Jimmy is bad enough... those rich running v8's and quadrejets, especiually when warming up...

Thats one tough lookin Jimmy. Your reddish brown fluid could be power steering fluid or tranny fluid.
