I recently purchased a 2007 Monte Carlo SS that was (supposedly) fully loaded with all the options. I'm very happy with the car but I have a (probably very silly) question. When I purchased it I was given to understand it had the uplevel 8 speaker sound system upgrade, but I noticed later there's only speaker grills to account for 4 speakers (well, maybe 6 if theres 2 under each door grill based on their shape) What I'm trying to find out, before I take it back to the dealership to complain, is what exactly is the physical speaker configuration for the 8 speaker upgrade? In other words, are there actually 2 speakers under each door's speaker grill and 2 under each rear deck speaker grill, or are the speakers under each grill 2-way (seperate tweater and bass or mid drivers in one unit) types to be counted as 8 speakers total? It's not a BIG deal, the sound system sounds great.....its just I'm a firm believer in getting what you paid for lol Thanks for any help

there may be two under the dash? 1 in each door and 2 in the rear deck. try tuning your speaker to eack seting using front to back and side to side and lisen to where the sound comes from. hope this helps.
