When trying to start my 2003 Impala Sedan 3.4 L, the engine turns over but won�t start unless I press the gas pedal to the floor. The engine then starts but won�t idle on its own so I must keep my foot on the gas pedal a little, otherwise the engine stalls. So, in order to drive the vehicle under this condition, I can never take my right foot completely off the gas pedal and I must use my left foot to apply the brake. After driving like this for about 30 minutes, the problem goes away and I can leave my foot off the gas pedal and the engine idles on its own. The problem occurred five times within the last five months. The Chevy Dealer had the vehicle for two days but is completely clueless. If you have heard of this problem and the solution, it would be wonderful to hear from you.
