kaneless -> 1995 beretta 2.2 ltr problems (11/22/2007 2:57:49 PM)

i just got this car so i have no idea what has been done to it, but iv went though it and everything seems fine, i gave it a regular tune up, oil plugs wires ect...but 3 days ago it was raining outside and my car acted like a wire shorting out so i pulled over and dryed everything off, my wires are fine .. i have to drive my car with min pedal, and low rpms shake the car like its struggleing to burn all the gas...so im thinking injector..there is no check engine light on. do i need to pull codes? any idea are appreated and also any tips on common things going out on these cars would help as well...i know a head gasket is common but i dont believe thats my problem.. thanks in advanced

Coil packs? You said you just did a tune up? Is something loose? Spark plugs gapped incorrectly?
Can you expand on the issue some...?

well i think i narrowed it down to the injectors..my coil is fine, plugs are gapped correctly, all my sensors are fine, i have no check engine light on...here is why i think its injectors, my car will die instantly when i pull 4 3 2 cyl injector plug, but on cyl number 1 i pull the injector plug and the car runs the same, no difference at all, that is telling me its a bad injector.. if the other 3 injectors kill my car instantly when i unplug them and the first injector doesnt make any noticeable difference then thats a tale tell sign of a bad injector, the only problem is that they arnt fun to replace and cost 80 bucks a peice...would a bad injector cause a check engine light to turn on? thanks for the input, ill post the solution to my problem if i figure it out...

Happened to be 1st and 4th coilpack when i discovered a very weak spark on cyl #4. I actually closed the spark gap to .20 and it helped untill i replaced that annoying coil on the back of the 2.2 ltr engine. The car runs like new thanks again for the feedback.
