Does anyone know if a 07 or 08 model silerado stereo, xm satellite radio ready, is capible of being put in place of a 99 silverado stock radio that has went out????? Wils2cool

No it is not, due to the GM LAN bus.

You can find a CD player with an XM tuner built into it for pretty cheap. Alpine makes a good one.
