Any info on when they are gonna come out with a 1\2 ton diesel? I've heard about it some where, that would be awesome

My first pickup was a GMC half-ton diesel. An '82 with the 6.2L. I betcha you could find one cheap! (My '03 Duramax pulled a bit better, though...)

It is my understanding the 1/2 Chev truck will have diesel rollout on it's smaller engine in fall 2008. I think the Ford will be at that time as well.

Last I heard we are getting a 4.5L Dmax for the 1500 in 2010.....maybe late 09, but not sooner. supposed to be 325hp and 550..ish...torgue or 450ish...cant remember now..training was a couple months ago, but not for 08.
