I have a problem with the van running after it gets warm. I went on trip to Calif and i live in Vanc.Wa. The van is a 1993 safari with a CMFI type of engine, with a W vin #. On the way back from Cailf it started to eat alot of gas and the power was bad, by the time we made up to Albany we could go no longer, it just stopped and would not start. we were carrying very little weight, no back seats. From there we towed it back to Vancouver,Wa  where i live and knew it needed a muffler and they said it also so need a new Catalytic converter. The only way it will start and drive is to do it cold and get to where you are going, but once it gets warm it just stops and won't run any more untill it gets cold again. I work for a school dist and was able to put it on a Genesis tester, but it was only able to come up with that it could not make any commination with the computer on board. The service engine light come on intermittently and does not stay on. We have just put on a tune up on it about a couple of months ago, so all of that is new.

What else could it be?

Help in Vanc

Thanks

John Day

this is a long shot, but maybe it's got the wrong oil in it, just a thought.

p.s. check the date on this post-it's over a year old!
