I recently just finished painting my car myself, at home, in my driveway. I used a foam brush and some Rustoleum from Home Depot... No, really. Total cost of the project was $74.74 and it took about 10 days of my time. The final result is amazing to say the least. Dont get me wrong, it is not perfect, but for $74.74 I would say it is a damn good job. What do you think? Here is a link to the complete write up on how I did it. There are a ton of pictures and lots more information in the write up. Styluss Customs - Poor Man''s Paint Job I know some of you may have seen the $50 Paint Job out there, this is different. Yes, it uses some of the same principles, but an entirely different technique to help eliminate the need for excessive sanding. Essentially, the only thing the $50 method and my method share is how the paint is mixed. What you see here is NOT sanded and NOT polished in any way. I simply let the paint dry, washed it and waxed it. I figured some of you might want to throw a coat or 2 on your rides. It really is an easy, inexpensive way to bring some new life back to your car!!
