Can anyone provide instructions for front door panel removal on the 2007 new style Silverado? I bought some trailer mirrors and need to take the door panels off to access the wiring harness. I can see it largely consists of snap connectors. There is a bolt under the panel behind the inside door handle. I didn't want to break anything and need to confirm if there are any more hidden fasteners that need to be removed. Any help appreciated. Pictures count double. A source for a service manual counts triple.

It's pretty simple actually. Although I will warn you that when you get the door panel off, disconnect the cable for the handle. DO NOT let it hang. It'll bend out of shape and make your door handles malfunction. There are 2 snap-on covers. One is by the door handle itself and the other is under the armrest. Actually . . . there is a third . . . you have to take the plastic vertical piece out of the handgrip of the armrest also. If you look at the bottom you'll see that it will pop right off. Under these covers you'll find the bolts (5 in all, 2 for the vertical handle are shorter) The top triangle piece by the mirror pops off also. Once all the bolts are out simply start at one corner of the door panel and pull pretty firmly but don't yank the hell out of it. Everything snaps off. Once the door panel is off you will have enough room to reach behind and unhook the door cable I warned you about.
