Hello,

I own a 92 camaro RS, but sadly with a 3.1 v6. I was wondering if the Trannsmission from the 3.1 would bolt up with a 5.0 ( 305) v8? Aslo would I be able to keep the stock front suspension? Ive been told that the 305 wouldnt way too much more than the 3.1 i have in it now. One of my friends told me that I could buy a 305 from a salvage or junk yard and find out what it needs to run and it wouldnt be to costly. Like $100 - $200 from the Junk yard, would this be a good idea?

yea it should bolt right up to the v8 because most chevrolets use the same pattern of bell housings so u should not have a problem just dont ripe it out with all the horsepower... by the way i have the exact car as u do... five speed, v6 and 92 rs so i know what u mean
