I just purchased a 2007 Cobalt LS and was wondering if it is possible to have a keyless entry system installed in it. The windows and locks are manual (not by choice; by dealership's availability) but would really like a keyless entry system in it. Any suggestions?

easiest way would be to get a command start, and have them put the lock modules and relays in..... or find a donor car and swap the panels and relays, basically everythign behind you door panel, your door panel wont have the slot cut out for the power lock button....

It would have been cheaper to have your dealer find and bring one in for you, a little extra freight but this will run you prolly around 700-1000 bucks, time you find the parts and get it all put in, also if its new have a dealer or someone do it or no warranty. although I cant see a dealer bithcing about you adding it, but ya never know

The reason I say go command start is these come with key fobs, if you go GM you will have to buy the fob seperate, and here these can run around 70-100 bucks  themselves

I'm not sure finding a donor car is very possible right now. Junked 2007s are few and far between... Do you think an earlier model Cobalt would have compatible parts for the powerlocks?

Can be done. the tricky part is getting wiring thru molex in door jambs. I personally use directed automate AM2 for key fob and reciever, then use the 524K door lock actuator/controller kit.

yea these cars are one of the easiest cars to put a keyless entry system into. lots of room in the door panels for the actuators, and you can just push the connector in the door jamb inside the vehicle to make room for your wires.
