Tech Question

mudderfan -> Tech Question (10/20/2007 6:52:29 PM)

I see alot of guys take off the dryer hose looking thing that connects to their air filter. Is that safe and advisable?

Are you talking about something that goes from the fender to the airbox?

mudderfan -> RE: Tech Question (10/20/2007 7:34:05 PM)

Yuppers

Kevin -> RE: Tech Question (10/20/2007 7:46:56 PM)

what do they do after they remove it??

do the clothes dry ok ??  [:D]

mudderfan -> RE: Tech Question (10/20/2007 8:11:30 PM)

nothing they just leave it off. they let the air flow right into the cleaner, not through the duct into the cleaner...

no, i lose alot of socks that way. i found out whre they all go...their damn air filters

Kevin -> RE: Tech Question (10/20/2007 8:13:47 PM)

so they remove the intake plenum that leads to the air filter box, not the line from the filter to the engine.

I would at least screen the filter canister to keep large debris out. is it where water may enter if splashed??

mudderfan -> RE: Tech Question (10/20/2007 8:20:15 PM)

no it is on the older chevy 350 tbi motors
