Hello i have a 00 S10 2.2 with no heat.I have flushed out and put in a new thermostat and still no heat. It does not over heat it sit about halfway from 210 and cold.  I read somewhere that you can flush the heatercore but im not sure how.

Any help would be great

Thank you

Howdy, 00s10 and.  You did not say if the blower motor works,so check your fuesses, there is a sensor on the manifold by the thermostat neck that dose go bad or the sensor wire could be loose . To flush the heater core you disconect the hoses leading to it, make sure the motor is cold. Thier is an inlet and outlet hose, once disconected flush out with garden hose. The Haynes manual is very helpfull, any parts store has it.

Howdy,  Did ya check the fuesses to the heater? I dont think its anything related to the heater core, when they go bad they ether rupture hoses or leek onto the floorboard and stink of antifreez. Have a local parts store run a scan on your truck for Free to see if any coads show up, and descibe to them about the no heat situation. In my educated guess its ether a fuse or the Thermostat sending unit. Im a DIYer with 30 plus year exp.
