OK... Just talking to myself here, but, I replaced my 245 R16's with BF Goodrich AT 265 R16's, and successfully filled in the wheel well and gave myself a lot more confidence that I won't get stuck in the first puddle I drive through. The truck seems to handle bumps better and the tires are just as quiet as the stock tires. If I had gone to a 285 R16, The front wheel wells would have had to be modified to accomodate the larger tire size. ( ie. Trimming back the front side of the fender flare to prevent rubbing as you turn.) My truck looks and feels more rugged. The AT tread will, by definition, give me the off road capability I need on occassions. The minute my warranty expires, I am modifying my exhaust and doing a minimum 4 inch lift kit.....any suggestions here would be appreciated.
