i have heard you can put a 350 in a cavelier...if this is true does anyone know how much this would run...approximatly

With the right alterations you could drop in anything: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2479859/1
Im not proficient in engine swaps so i dont know much from a mechanical standpoint.

that cavy on thay link was sweet...but im not tryin to go as big as he did...lmao...

MalibuMaxxSS -> RE: 350... (10/12/2007 10:44:37 AM)

It would require a lot...anything can be done, but consider the extra weight of the engine so a suspension upgrade is in order, as well as new mounts, trans, trans axle, most likely the body would haveto be modified to FIT the engine.... blah blah blah

You want performance, got get a wrecked Cobalt SS/SC, and grab the 2.0 supercharged engine....these are making over 800hp with bolt on parts thru GM, and even at the 205 they come with thye are impressive engine,  still would not be bolt in...but be a whole lot easier

thats actually what i was thinking about, i figured a cobalt ss would be as close as id come to a drop in. Im gonna have to start combing junk yards, theres gotta be some around here somewhere

the cobalt idea is pretty cool and it sounds like it would be easier than the cavy...i dont know ill have to look around...hopefully i can find one for cheap...doubt it though

I know theres sortof a market for both tuner and muscle where i live, just because of all the younger military people with disposable income. Maybe ill luck out and find something the PO didnt take care of very well[;)]
