where do you live? how much snow do you get?
i have a 2x4 and all i do is out Winterforce studded tires on it and i have never been stuck once.
I live in the northeast...ct to be exact

would som emud terrains work or woruld they be too hard on ice?

mudderfan -> RE: UP AND COMING WINTER SEASON (10/18/2007 7:40:46 AM)

you would be ice skating. the reason the winter tires work so well is because they are a softer compound and heat up faster which allows you to grip. a buddy of mine had a 4x4 with mudders on all 4 tires and he couldnt even get up his driveway. i great winter tire for cheap are the Winterforce tires. i feel like they are better than blizzaks

Are hte pro comp all terrains any good in the snow and Ice? They advertise them as the studless snow tire. I am in arizona I never see snow in the Phoenix area.

MalibuMaxxSS -> RE: UP AND COMING WINTER SEASON (10/18/2007 10:04:59 AM)

mud terrains will not be any good AT ALL in the winter.......

go with a good ice grip Michelin, or Blizzaks, and any 'all season' tire....LOL dont use those in the north either...all season except winter

bwaddell -> RE: UP AND COMING WINTER SEASON (10/18/2007 9:30:21 PM)

if it snows often and deep, carry chains and a shovel.
