The seats in my 1999 suburban (drivers and front passenger) are showing wear. Can I swap these out with those from a newer model suburban with minimal problems?

I've done a lot of web research on this, and I think the answer is you can't do it very easily. If you find out otherwise, I'd love to hear of your success. My plan is to recover the front, replace the second row bench with new captain's chairs I bought on ebay, and replace the 3rd row also from ebay (less used than mine).
