Can anyone get me the programming instructions for late model gm/l format key fob. Specifics= 2005 Chevy Uplander. I bought an additional fob. Some of these ya-hoos online will sell me the instructions for $15 or I have to take it to the dealer and have them program it when it's something I could totally do on my own if I had the instructions. Thanks in advance for any guidence on this.

According to this site  http://www.programyourremote.com/
Uplanders cannot be programed yourself.  Not sure i beleive that.   Try this

1.      Close all vehicle doors.
2.      Insert the key into the ignition.
3.      Hold down the power UNLOCK button on the driver's door panel-continue to hold down until instructed to release.
4.      Perform steps 5 through 8 in fairly rapid succession.
5.      Turn the ignition switch to the ON position (as far as you can go without starting the engine).
6.      Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
7.      Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
8.      Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
9.      Release the power unlock button on the door panel. The vehicle will lock and unlock the doors automatically.
10.  Hold down the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the transmitter simultaneously until the door locks and unlocks. This step may take up to 30 seconds.
11.  Repeat step 10 NOW for each additional transmitter (including any existing transmitters).
12.  Turn the ignition switch to the ON position in order to exit the transmitter programming mode.

This site doesn't have 07s so see below...

If you have an 07 with DIC this MAY work

Relearn Remote Key
This display allows you to match Remote Keyless
Entry (RKE) transmitters to your vehicle. To
match an RKE transmitter to your vehicle, do the
following:
1. Press the vehicle information button until
PRESS V TO RELEARN REMOTE KEY
displays.
2. Press the set/reset button until REMOTE KEY
LEARNING ACTIVE is displayed.
3. Press and hold the lock and unlock buttons
on the first transmitter at the same time for
approximately 15 seconds.
A chime will sound indicating that the
transmitter is matched.
4. To match additional transmitters at this time,
repeat Step 3.
Each vehicle can have a maximum of eight
transmitters matched to it.
5. To exit the programming mode, you must
cycle the key to LOCK.

Sorry Tahoe07 niether one worked for me. I do not have the DIC on my '07 I guess because there was never an option for 'relearn remote key' on the display.

Has anyone figured out how to program a 2007 Tahoe/Suburban remote / fob??? If so, please provide instructions. I lost my remote and got a new one. Need programming instructions, is it even possible to do without going to the dealer. Thanks!
