my 1986 chevy 3//4 ton pickup will not turnover. i turn the key, the dash lights come one, i go to start it and nothing happens. tried jumping it, nothin at all, turn the lights on, it takes a few seconds and then they are very dim, any ideas??

No clicking at all from the starter?

nope, nothing at all, when i hit the horn, something near the fusebox clicks, and once in a while ill get normal juice from the battery but when i go to start it, nothing.

Bang on the starter & solenoid with a wrench or small hammer and then try n start it.

found the problem, the battery terminals were ginked up and dirty.
