I'm going to ask this although it doesn't look like there is much answering going on in this section. I have a 99 with a blown 3100 in it. Will a 3800 out of  a Grand Prix work in it? Do I have to do anything with the computer?

Well first off what kinda of vehile are we talking about.  If it is a GP, then all the mounting points SHOULD be there for the 3800.  Are you dropping in a N/A 3800?  What generation? 1, 2, or 3?  Gen 2 or 3 would be my choice, and yes the pcm should be recalibrated to match the drivetrain.  You also might need to change out a few connectors and do a few wire swaps/add ins to make it run right.

I'm talking about a 99Lumina.It has a 3100 in it now. Just wondering what my options are. It's easier to find a 3800 then the 3100.
Thanks

You'd be better off using a 3400.  Easier upgrade and easy 15+hp gain.  The PCM wouldnt need to be recalibrated and minimal changes are needed.
