What is the best way to wire these up to get the best possible bass and sound? Series or parallel?

dude, you'll never see 1200 watts out of the sony explode.  it will EXPLODE before that ever happens!  you're gonna need a lot more juice for those kickers.  sure, it will work but you're going to need higher end to get full wattage from the kickers.  Dual voice coil subs usually are 8 ohms.  i never worked much with kicker so i could be wrong.  they do sound good though.  if you parrallel two of them you'll get 4 ohms, and i think if you parrellel 3 of them you'll get like half on ohm but you'll need an incredible amp for this.  only way you're gonna get 2 ohms is to buy two single voice coil subs rated for 4 ohms each and parrellel them after the amp.  if you want 2 ohms from two dual voice coil subs at 8 ohms each you'll need an amp capable of bridging at the outputs off the amp and parrallel both subs.  the circuitry of the amp is set up for this and will specifically say you can bridge off amp output.  do yourself a favor and get a stiffening cap (lightning cap) also known as a capacitor.  i would get at least 1 Ferrad or you're gonna see your headlights flashing everytime the bass hits.  I used to install for circuit city.  just stop by there or best buy and they can help you figure out how to wire your subs, it gets real fun, trust me!!

I figured it out thanks. I used this wiring http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp?Q=2&I=22 and i picked up a kicker zx1000.1 for an amp. Thanks though
