2007 NBS VortecMAX Factory Decal Removal

vermilla -> 2007 NBS VortecMAX Factory Decal Removal (9/28/2007 3:54:43 PM)

Is there anyone out there who has taken all of the factory decals off their 2007 NBS Silverado.  I have a 2007 Z-71 with the VortecMAX Package and badging.  I know how to remove the Z-71 stickers, "Silverado", and "LTZ" badging, but I am not sure about the tailgate bowtie and VortecMAX badging.  Specifically, are there alignment holes in the sheet metal for the bowtie and VortecMAX badges or are they simply stick-on badges?

Thanks for answering.

99.9% sure they stick on, I took all the badges off My Malibu, aside from the SS, and all used 2 sided tape even the bowtie badges front and back, I painted the gold bowties black and just let the malibu and maxx chrome decals off....the MAX decal on the side should just be tape....heat it with a good hairdryer or heat gun works best, use a good citrus cleaner, or simple green works well to get the residue from teh tape off.

Thanks, I just traded in my '03 Silverado and it was all stick-ons, but I am aprehensive about this truck because of the size of the badges.

100% sure there are no alignment holes in the skin on either of these two placards.
Monofilament fishing line works very well to dislodge the 3M tape and not harm the paint.

I removed all of the emblems on my 07 NBS and they are all stick ons as stated including the tailgate Bowtie.

Anyone know how the front emblem is held on, or I should ask how to remove it on the NBS silverados?  My 07 tahoe front emblem was a bit different.

I felt around on my silverado emblem and felt a couple of tabs on the back of the bowtie.  Do I simply push those out?  I would like to remove it and paint it, but not break it in the process.  THanks.
