I getting about 15-16 mpg with 3500 miles on the odometer. I'm hoping it get's better. I hear they loosen up after breaking in. I average about 65 - 70 mph on the highway and drive about 50% highway.

I've got 25,000 miles on my 07 4X4 LTZ with 3:73's. If you are trying to purchase a vehicle for good gas milage the Tahoe is not your answer. If you want a bad a$$ truck that looks sweet, rides better than most cars, and is capable of towing, then the Tahoe is your answer. If you want something that gets sweet gas milage buy the chevy Cobalt.

I've had mine since Jan 19th. I have an overall avg of 16.3 for 5000 miles on the computer. I figure it at closer to 17-real math. My mileage is more like 65% city and 35% highway. My highway speed is 70-75 and we have alot of hills. I'm generally going up or down most of the time. I at right around 400 miles before I fill up.

The driver and the terrain make a lot of difference but it sounds like 13-17 is about the going rate.

Don't sell the 'puter short.......mine is always within a TENTH of a gallon of the fuel used ('puter vs pump) and MPG within 2 tenths ('puter vs math)

I've got 10k on my LTZ. Showing 15.2 mpg. But there is one thing for sure, I did not buy the thing in hopes of getting 3o plus mpg. I bought it because the looks are just killer. Had I wanted something for gas mileage, I would have bought a Kia...LOL

Went to the lake and back (~ 400 mi. roundtrip) this weekend and rolled over 3,000 mi. on my LTZ with 3.73 and 20"s and averaged 19.0 mpg (computer). I check every fillup and computer is always within 0.2 mpg. That's a big improvement over my last trip when I got about 16 mpg.

So would you say that your mileage as improved with miles added to the engine? On my Tahoe, I started out with about 15mpg in city, and am getting around 12mpg in city. Ive only got about 700 miles on the tahoe though...
