I was thinking about doing that with some Dupli-color (as i have no access to a paint shop and really dont want to pay $100 for a "custom" painted emblem from a collision repair shop), Ive used some Duplicolor stuff on bare metal and was surprised at how good it looked on horrible metal (slightly rusted and pocked steel, held a good finish for about a year) but wasnt too sure on how it'd work on the plastic, and then I'd have to buy a replacement stock one so i didnt drive around with a F'd up emblem. my other idea was get the wholeeeeee front end sprayed (grille shell grille emblem bumper, bumper sides, etc) but I havent gotten a price on that yet

A few guys here took theirs off and had a local decal shop print them a small piece of vynyl, with a carbon fibre look, they 'stuck' it over the emblem without taking it off, couple guys took theemblem off and did it, taking it off helps, easier to apply, alternative to painting it....and cant ruin it with vinyl
