Ok, I got the rear gold emblem off. Of course I broke it but who cares. The gold sucked. Now I want to get one for the front that looks similar to the rear silver/polished one. I looked on ebay and they have a couple of different ones on there. One says it is with outline, and another says without outline. Does anyone have pictures of these two different types? Post them quickly please so I can make a purchase. Which one do I want? Ouline, or no outline? I am going to have a billet grille on their also. Here are links to two different ones on ebay. I want to get a chrome one for the front but I think most of the manufacturers have made the emblems too small. When you remove the front plastic there is a smaller indented bowtie shape that they are making the replacemtn to fit. The replacement is not a s big as the original one that was removed. The orignal lays over part of the plastic underneath and the new ones insert into it. Anyone find someone that makes the correct or orginal sized bowtie?

I don't have a picture, but I went with no outline and like the looks. Like tahoe07 said, it fits inside a smaller indent, so I figured one more line would be too much. I'm happy with the way the no outline fits.

I went ahead and ordered the no outline. However, I didnt realize it didnt cover the entire surface area of the old bowtie. So what exactly stays on the front of the tahoe from the original bowtie? Does it look ok? Anyone have a picture? Thanks.

Not mine but from e-bay as an example of what I don't want see how it sits in indent. The OEM goes out over the first lip and only lets very outer edge of chrome exposed Thumbnail Image

Well a very generous and nice forum member sent me his removed chrome rear OEM bowtie for me to try to paint around on. It didnt work as good as I would have liked. It has a few flaws when staring at it right up close. This is painted just over the chrome, the gold bowtie had been removed. There is no doubt that it would have worked better if the gold bowtie had been left on! Tell me what you guys think!

Looks good in the pics. Did you use a chrome adhesion promoter? Next time you're spraying, mask off and paint your rear camera.
