Has any of you tryed a throttle body spacer on your silverado i have a 2006 4.8 engine and it is a little sluggish so i ordered a throttle body spacer haven't put it on yet. but was wondering if anybody has ? and was it worth the money ? can you feel a difference in power ? does anyone have any good suggestions on products that work far as giving you more torque and power?
Thanks, Rodney

I didnt notice anything with the spacer or the intake, IMO.

The only things that I felt were worth my money was the power programmer and the exhaust. The programmer because you can FEEL the diffrence, and the exhaust, because I like the sound.

Yea, i've already done both of those. I wish there was more i could do.

Is there anything i can still do that would affect MPG?

Probally stuff like, higher voltage ignition coils, better spark plug wires, maybe even headers.  Do Not go with stupid spark plugs like NGK or some foreign crap, just run AC Delco's.  Anything to make the fuel ignite faster or more will give better MPG and a little more power.

May sounds dumb, but would installing High Voltage Ignition Coils void my GM Warranty?

I do like the idea of headers and have been looking into them. I especially like Borla's product, but at $882, it's a bit much. Has anyone tried the Edelbrock 6502 Shorty Headers?

Ive never met one person that said they noticed a difference with a TBS.  I agree with fireman though I did feel a little with my exhaust and programmer and even a tiny little with the CAI.  Just remember you are gonna sink some cash into those things so if you are looking for mileage only it will probably take years to ever earn your cash back thru the results of those products.  You have to want them on your truck like the rest of us car nuts on here - nothing wrong with that right???.  I would definately start with a tune up and stick with the Delco's like jmack said but check with the shop you buy from on the gap.  AC changed the gap for my 01 from the original .060 to .040 and none of the manuals have that change in them.

I put one on and I did see a difference.  It was a lot louder and my mileage got worse.
