I have 2005 Chevy 1500 with 24000 miles. First I went back to the dealer for the steering wheel problem that sounds like alot of people have or had. That was fixed. Now, when I give it gas I feel a clunk in the drive train. It doesn't happen all the time, but enough for me to take it bake to the dealer. They couldn't find anything wrong but did feel the clunk and was advise by Chevy to replace the shock housings which they did. But after I pick up the truck it is still doing it. Does anyone else have or had this problem and what did you do?
Thanks,
Tom

Rod Man,
Tell me what happens. Yesterday I was coming home from Fishing pulling a BassBoat with the A/C on and it made that noise alot more when trailering. I had the button push in for the over drive but keeps making that u-joint noise. Keep me updated and when I go back to the dealer I'll post.

If it is kluncking it is more than likely u-joints. I would tell the dealer you want new u-joints. I have had a few pick-ups that did that, when I got under them I couldn't move the U-joints/driveshat. But I changed them anyway and I fixed it. If they have already been replaced you can grease them and that will help, but you cannot grease factory u-joints.

I would take it to them and tell them to fix it, give you a new pickup, or your money back. I'll bet money if they change the u-joint that will fix it.
