I have a 1986 GMC camper special. This is a 3/4 ton truck with a 350 v/8. I have put a set of factory 8 lug wheels from a 2002 Chevrolet 3/4 ton truck. The center caps are held on via the lugnuts. The threads on the 2002 style lugnuts are metric, my original studs are SAE. Does anyone know of a fix for this so I can install the new style centercaps on my old hooptietruck. Does anyone make a set of SAE lugnuts with the ability to install the new style centercaps. I thank you in advance for your response.

If the new studs are the same diameter as the old all you have to do is get new studs and lugs. I don't understand why they won't go on anyway. Dosen't the lugs tighten down on the center cap?
