I put the gas cap on wrong & the Service Engine Soon light illuminated. I have since put the cap on properly ( I think) & have griven it 4 times for about 75 miles. When should I expect the light to go out? Assuming, of course, that the gap was the problem.

Thanks

It should go out after 7 or 8 key clicks/starts.  You can also disconnect the battery to clear the code.

Got a code reader & the problem is 1 & 2 - O2 sensor slow respomse & 3 - running lean. It re-occures if I clear the code, so I guess it is legit.

Thanks
