Hello,

I have a 1993 chevy lumina 3.1L v6 and recently the temp light comes on the instrument cluster immediately after startup. i do not believe the car is overheating, but have yet to confirm 100% on that, also noticed the fans will not kick on. there is a temp switch under the thermostat housing which is two pins and when i unplug the connector with the vehicle running the fans will kick on, if i plug it back in the fans will run for another 25 seconds or so and shut off and not come back on. so i replaced the temp switch, flushed the coolant system and disconnected the battery for 5 minutes. put everything back together started the car up and the temp light remains on, and the fans still will not kick on. same issue if i unplug the sensor on the backside of the thermostat housing the fans will kick on and shut off if i plug it back in, is there another sensor that controls the fan operation and the temp light on the dash to come on?

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, my sister starts school in a few days and needs her car! thanks!
