i have a 91 s10 with 4.3 v6 .my problem is i just changed the idle positon sensor as it was idling up and down . Did the reset of the sensor at 40 mph . come home and parked it . got up the next morning for work , started fine then died . My idling problem is fixed but now it seems to be dieing on me after i start it up or when i put it it drive or reverse. It also doesn't leave a code afterwards. cold this be the map sensor or the icm ???? Any ideas would be greatly app. thanks in advance

hello chevymandan, im a DYIer with a 99 4.3v6 sounds like a lack of fule pressure maybe, try to buy or rent a pressure gauge from parts store, there easy to use and sould help to yes/no fule issue. connect gauge to fule line- turn key to on- you dont even have to start your truck-it should read 62psi or better. if not it could be bad fule pump. like i said maybe.

Does it shutter before it dies? When you put it in gear does it occur immediately?
