I recently purchased a 07 Silverado 2500HD for business. Told the dealer I needed to put a 8.5' V-Plow on the front, and tow trailers. We bought a 2500HD with a 6.0L sisince 99% of our driving is less than a mile. We didn't thought the gas motor would be a better fit. The dealer located 3 trucks one had a factory brake controler in it, the others had alot more options but no brake controller. I bought the one with more options and figured it wasn't a big deal to put a controler in it. Wire the plug to the controler and plug it in. ....Only to find out now that chevy went 20 years into the past and you have to hardwire them again. Then take a work truck and put a plastic front bumper on it. The first time I go through a snow bank they'll be broke off. I hope they have quick connectors on them and they give me a deal if I buy in bulk. We've drive chevys and GMC for years and they're really getting me to start thinking about a toyota.

The brake controller wiring harness is provided under the steering column, it is pre-wired and very simple to connect to an after market brake controller. The front bumper is steel not plastic, it is just the cosmetic end caps that are plastic same as the Toyota.
