The gas pedal is hard to push in our 1988 K1500. So, the only thing to do is to MASH the pedal and go!

Take care and God bless,

You may have some carbon buildup inside the throttle bore. Take the fresh air plumbing off and look back into the throttle bore to see if there's a black, sticky buildup on the back side of the throttle plate. You can get throttle bore cleaner in a spray can at any auto parts store; just spray it onto the throttle butterfly plate, front and back, and if you can get your fingers in there, take a rag and wipe it clean. I've seen lots of cars and trucks with this problem as the miles begin to accumulate. HTH.
Good Luck and God Bless,
Revredneck
