I'm holding off buying another vehicle to see if Chevy will put a diesel in the 'burb. Anyone have any thoughts on that happening?

Duramaxx is heading to Hummer H2 for 2010 I believe, so I would think the burban would be close as well.  I do know of some custom H2's with the duramax installed , but they are close to $100K

I would hold out until G.M. releases a new diesel/tranny setup. I have heard many bad thinks about the new duramax/allison setup.

Gm is planning to move a new v6 diesel into the 1/2 ton trucks in the next couple of years. I see them doing alot to get better fuel mileage out of their vehicles. I have been asking my GM trainers about a duramax in the 'burb for over 1 1/2 years now and that's what I've been told. Given they put them in vans I would think the way is there, they just need the will.
