Service Engine Soon PO442 - 8/4/2007 6:08:00 PM    jmadson   Posts: 7 Joined: 12/31/2006 Status: offline The dealer cannot find the problem with "Service Engine Soon." It has been there twice and of course, they charged us twice.  It has now come on for a third time.  I have swapped out the gas cap to no avail.  Any thoughts? I understand that the PO442 is a Service Engine Error code can be caused by one of the following: 1. Defective or loose fuel cap 2. EVAP canister or hose cracked- not connected 3. Purge or vent solenoid defective 4. Vaccum leak at engine Post #: 1
