I think my deflector may have come with 5 clips/rivnuts and not three, I'll have to check again? My deflector is solid and not loose at all.

When closing all you have tpo do is stick your hand in the cut outs for your hands and pull the hood down, never even touching the deflector.

The cut outs are on each side of the deflector right at each corner of the grill.

I don't have any pics I can post, but my BD has no cutouts like yours as can be seen in your pic.

I tried the Stampede model of bug deflector on my 07 NBS and had an awful lot of mirror shake and a lot of wind noise. Does the GM model do any of those things? I know that on the La. roads and with all of the painted frontal area I would like to have some protection.

Nope, no shakes or noises, just a meaner looking front-end.

I counted the clips on the deflector, there are a total of 5. I'll get a close up picture of the hand cut outs to close the hood in the next day or so...

Might have more to do with your Suburban's body style being different then the NBS Silverado, the hoods are different.

I must have missed the part that you had a silverado, I thought you had a tahoe?

That explains it then...

I thought I posed this photo of the cut out but I don't see it?
