We are considering purchase of an 07 LT3. It has all the options EXCEPt it does not have the rear camera parking assist. It has Nav (touchscreen), Bose, rear DVD, rear parking assist w/o camera. I read some of the posts on here re: addition of the camera and I think I concluded it could be done but not sure. I am new to this posting stuff and can't find the post where I asked for help on this earlier today. Can someone tell me asap whether you think we could add the camera? THANKS

From what I've read, your head-unit has to support DVD playback for the camera to work -- basically the screen has to support video input. We have the camera in our LTZ and it's pretty great. You can back straight up to a trailer, lined up perfectly the first time, every time.

So, if we have a rear dvd, then it should work for the camera? Thanks for your answer. Not sure I understand yet.

Don't know why I am not getting more responses--maybe I am not asking the question right. I would really appreciate some help. THANKS.

Here is ALL of the info you need.  It is 26 pages but you should not have to read all of it...

Your head unit is the stereo part up front (the one with nav). If that can also play DVDs (up front), then it's the right kind for connecting a camera. If you can't play DVDs up front, you can't connect a camera. I don't know what else is required -- I'm sure that's in the other thread tahoe07 posted.
