How do I remove the headlight knob and switch on a '79 Blazer?

I dont know if its the same as my '81, but on the bottom of the switch there is a sprung metal button (you might have to look up behind the dash from the footwell to see it). Push this button in and pull the whole nob out forward from the switch (it'll come completely out from the switch.) You can then remove the wire connector block at the back, and undo the retaining nut on the front.

i just pulled my whole dash off and took it out and put it back on, took me like an hour?

wasnt hard at all...

but my truck is a 92. i dont even know the difference between the two..

shouldnt be very hard
