I had the right turn signal/brake bulb go out. When I pulled it out to replace it, one of the contacts and the plastic around it looked a little melted. I put the new bulb in, and it comes on when I turn the lights on, but it doesn't come on when I step on the brakes, or turn the right turn signal on. I have tried a different bulb too.
Any suggestion or ideas on what is going on?

Thanks

yeah that sucks
sounds like the part the bulb goes in has melted and shorted together
so u should replace that
go to junk yard with soem wire cutters and cut one out and put in pocket
go home and solder the wires up and shrink wrap it
maybe i dunno
