We've just bought a slightly used 2007 Suburban LTZ that was pretty much loaded.

The separate owner's manual for the nav system was missing, and the OnStar documentation was missing.

How do I find the XM receiver ID so I can get an XM subscription? (I assume there is an ID associated with it... I've had Sirius systems before, and that's how they work.) Actually, another question -- are there any Sirius systems out there which will integrate with the built-in factory nav display? I greatly prefer Sirius content to XM, but I don't want to fiddle with a separate device.

I'm trying to decide if I'm going to subscribe to OnStar and buy hands-free minutes, or whether I'm going to pick up one of those TellPhone 5000vi devices and use my regular phone. I do plan to buy a GMX320 lockpick from coastaletech.com. I'd love to hear recommendations and opinions on both sides. I don't much care about the OnStar services themselves, I just want hands-free with decent vehicle integration. Or is there a better way to integrate my Bluetooth phone (currently a Treo 650) with the touchscreen and hands-free equipment in the truck? One big concern I have about the OnStar approach is the pain of keeping my address book and phone numbers in synch.

Thanks in advance for any and all input...

Thanks. It looks like Sirius made a device for earlier model-year GM products (SiriusConnect for Class 2 Bus GM Vehicles, 2003-2006), so I guess if the merger doesn't stimulate the execs to new heights of greed, maybe there is hope.

Weird. It says 07 Suburbans are supported:
https://www.mygmlink.com/main/US/en/chevrolet/pbrands?actionpage=2_1

But when I enter my VIN or choose the drop-down, I get this:
"We're sorry, but we are unable to process your request at this time. Please try again later. "

Someone else sent me this link and I also get an error when I enter my VIN here:

You need to wait up to 8 weeks after purchasing the vehicle before your VIN will register on these sites.

Most of us had to call in to get registered.  I had mine for almost a year and couldn't get in.

Hope that problem has been worked out.

Ah. Thanks. I called in my VIN the other day. Oh well.
8 weeks from now the replacement manuals the dealership ordered will be here. :)

Now that I think about it, the site shows the same error even if I don't enter a VIN -- it has the option of entering just Chevrolet / Suburban / 2007, with no other identifying information... that seems a bit odd.
