I've found a nicer vehicle that has a cheaper price on it. Turns out it has a salvage title on it. I've had the guy send me several pics and everything looks like a new car. The state is GA. I was reading a little on salvage titles and they say the vehicle has to go get an inspection to be found road worthy. I'm going to fly down and take a look at it personally later this week I think. I was wondering if anyone here has had any experiences with this. How often is a vehicle given a salvage title? Should I be scared to death to purchase this thing? I was told it had damage on the front right side but can't tell by the pics. The guy told me it drives great, that you could never tell, and I could even take it to have a mechanic look it over.
Should I steer clear? Have you guys had general good experiences with a rebuilt vehicle?
