I am trying to fix my friends 1994 cavileer. It has 360,000km (thats the first problem). and has a few issues. 1) there is a short somewhere, rather than dig through the electrical system of an old and dying heap, we put a solenoid in the battery cale, so as to disconect it while parked. 2) after installing said solenoid, and test driving, the next day it wount start. turns over fine, but no spark, and the spark plugs are dry. i am not very farmilliar with fuel injection, but any advice would be good. if you think the solenoid was a big mistake, suggest an alternative. thanks SGS

removew the sylinod. if its a real prob just unhook the battery direct. by unhooking the battery all the time will cuse its own problems. as for the fuel injection just take off the air filter and look down the top of the ingectors. if you see gas when your trying to start the car ok if not it may be the fuel pump. eaverytime you unhook the battery if you cuse a spark it may hurt the computer.
