hi i have a 1991 suburban with a 1978 chevy 350. the problem is that i blow threw starters. ill buy a starter and the truck will be fine and fire up perfectly for about a month the it will start makeing noises and then it wont turn over at all it will just grind. i checked the flywheel cause i thought it was missing teeth but it isnt. i got the starter as close as a coulld so it could grip but it keeps blowing threw them. do you have any sugestions?? anyone else with this problem?

Are you getting refurbished starters??? That was my problem with mine. When I finally forked out the money to just get a brand new one I haven't had a problem since. it's been about a year or more since the last time I changed it out!
