1997 serpentine belt - 7/11/2007 1:55:47 PM    mrbassman26   Posts: 2 Joined: 7/11/2007 Status: offline the a/c compressor on my 1997 cavalier sounds like it is going to come apart.  can i put on a shorter serpentine belt and just bypass the compressor.  thought maybe at the parts store just ask for a cavalier with NO A/C.  can this be done?? thanks Post #: 1
