gcpurcell -> Whine from Radio on Startup and when gas pressed (7/3/2007 9:02:46 AM)
|
I've just started having a whinning or buzz coming from my 03 Suburban LT. It seems to be coming from the radio. When I first start the car, it has a buzz in the speakers and then it quits, whether the radio is on or not. When I turn the radio on, it comes back and is more prevelant. The sound or speed of the buzz goes up and down according to whether I'm pressing the gas pedal. We did just replace the fuel filter, and talk about a pain. Whoever had the bright idea to go to the design away from the 2 nut connection, has some problems in the head. Ended up having to cut the nipple on the filter and then was able to use the "tool" to get it out. Was also wondering if this could be related to the fuel pump. I've read some of the other forums about the fuel pump problem. Mine, I found it thankfully while I was at work. If mine gets below 1/4 of a tank, it will not start back up. Once I get the gas level over 1/4, starts up fine. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Greg
