So i just got a new 07 shortbed 1500. I also have a 93 shortbed with the 350 in it. I have a lot of mods to my 93 and am very happy with it. But with the 93 i didnt do alot of "hardware" mods, just normal novice stuff like performance chip, k&n, exhaust, some better built replacement stuff, just things like that. My new 07 has the 4.3 in it. I was looking for suggestions for the new one. Need some experienced guy to suggest the right things to do to actually make this truck very strong, and have lots of balls. I will work on the engine first this time and then go to the body, but was just looking for suggestions. thanks..

granatelli mass air flow sensor, exhaust, hypertech II, intake...or forced induction...like a vortech blower lol. headers, there are n endless amount of mods...comp cams makes a cam for it...cruise the S10 sites like s10forum.com, you can get a good idea there...as the 4.3 was the engine of choice from 91(4x4 only) till 2003

Pick yourself up some E3 spark plugs & Granatelli MPG+ Wires.

I would go for BullyDog Power Pup for thr programmer. Dont' forget the throttle body spacer. For the intake, take a look at the Aircharger from K&N.

trade the V6 for a 5.3.....gets better milage anyhow...
